CONWAY S.C. (WBTW) — Members of the LGBTQ+ neighborhood in Myrtle Beach front gathered close to the Horry County Federal government and Justice Centre Tuesday prior to the Horry County Council assembly for a tranquil protest just after the council voted to walk back its vote to acknowledge June as Pride Thirty day period in Horry County.
The council initially designated June as Satisfaction Month on Might 17, but 3 weeks later on, council voted to revoke the resolution that publicly confirmed assistance and acceptance to the LBGTQ+ local community.
Councilman Johnny Vaught told News13 that no one particular on council caught it because the resolution just said Pleasure Thirty day period. Vaught claimed council began to get backlash from the local community after it handed the resolution.
Grand Strand Satisfaction volunteer Adam Hayes mentioned they were being disheartened by the selection.
