Ursel’s Web in Middletown hosting opening reception for Easter exhibit

MIDDLETOWN — Ursel’s Web, at 140 Washington St., is hosting its 12th annual Easter show with an opening reception Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The show includes old favorites, as well as many new items, according to a press release. There are hand-painted wooden bunnies and “darling” wooden Stupsi (“cute-nose”) rabbits, wooden eggs and boxes hand-painted by local artist Mary Geary, hand-painted eggs from Austria and Poland, German glass chickens, hand-painted glass from Austria, and egg-shaped wooden kaleidoscopes by local artist Ed Goodrich.

In addition, mouth-blown glass pigs from Germany, little glass hedgehogs, hummingbirds and seahorses from Egypt, cloisonné seahorses, dolphins, butterflies and dragonflies and more will be on display.
